What this site collects

This site is a static publication. It sets no advertising trackers and requires no account. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service that reports aggregate page views and performance without tracking individual visitors across sites or storing personal information. Search on this site runs entirely in your browser, queries are not sent to a server.

Email

If you email a question, use the Ask Diego form, or the car finder, the message is used to answer you or follow up on your request and, sometimes, to inspire a future article, always stripped of names and identifying details. That email address is never sold, shared, or added to a mailing list without your separate, explicit sign-up.

Form submissions and follow-up

Submissions from the Ask Diego, car finder, and newsletter forms are stored in a private database (Cloudflare D1, part of the same infrastructure hosting this site) so Diego can track and follow up on requests over time, in addition to arriving by email. This record is accessible only to Diego through a password-protected page, is never sold or shared, and is used solely to respond to your request and, for opted-in newsletter signups, to send the monthly update.

Monthly newsletter

The monthly update list at /newsletter/ is opt-in only: your name and email are added because you filled out that specific form, never automatically from a question, car finder request, or booking. Every send is BCC, so subscribers never see each other's addresses. Leave the list any time by replying to an update or emailing [email protected], and your address is removed promptly.

External links

Linked sites (manufacturers, government databases, LinkedIn) have their own privacy practices, which this site does not control.
